Good News Community Centre

We invite you to join with us and enjoy our modern facilities and space available for hireage to all community groups and individuals.

Our venue is alcohol and smoke free and provides a safe environment for the whanau and community.

The variety of spaces available make our venue suitable and most appropriate for a large variety of activities and different sized groups.

We are a popular choice for baby showers, birthdays (ranging from 1st - 70th), kapa haka practice, club marching, club sports, hobby clubs, professional meetings and other common functions such as kids birthdays and unveiling's.

Remember to consider our venue for your next function, special occasion and or family/social gathering.

A bond of $100.00 is required to secure a booking. This is refundable upon return of the key providing all terms and conditions have been met during use.

Hall

Our large hall is an ideal space for activities, functions, gatherings and exercise.

A polished concrete floor, 2 heat-pumps and a complete sound system makes our modern facility a fantastic space for medium and large gatherings. Maximum people allowed is 225.

Our large commercial kitchen is included in the following prices if required.
We also have tables and chairs available for use with hirage at no extra cost.

Costs start at $30.00 per hour and range from $100.00 for 1/3 day to $230.00 for a full day (7.00am-10.00pm).
A microphone is also available at a small extra cost of $30.00. This is optional.

NB: You may be required to share the kitchen with other users of the facilities if another area of the venue is in use at the time.

Kauri Room - Lounge

Our Kauri room is a cosy room suitable for smaller gatherings of up to 28.
Kauri also has a large high definition TV suitable for presentations and and tub seats for your comfort.

Tables and chairs are also available for use with hirage at no extra cost.

Costs start at $25.00 per hour and range from $60.00 for 1/3 day to $140.00 for a full day (7.00am-10.00pm).

Kitchen

A large commercial kitchen which sits between the hall and the lounge with serveries opening into both the hall and the lounge.

The kitchen has stainless steel bench tops, and a stainless steel island giving plenty of room for food preparation. The kitchen also includes two large gas ovens with gas stove tops, two microwaves, a sterilizer along with crockery, utensils and glasses for up to 120 people and all that you would need in a kitchen for your function or special gathering. We also have a fridge available for your use if required.

Rimu Room - Small Room

Our Rimu room is a space suitable for one on one meetings or small groups of 10 or less.

Tables and chairs are available for use with hirage at no extra cost.

Costs start at $20.00 per hour and range from $40.00 for 1/3 day to $80.00 for a full day (7.00am-10.00pm).

Church

Our Church space is also available and suitable for small to medium gatherings or meetings.

Chairs are provided and tables are available at your request for use with hirage at no extra cost.

Costs start at $25.00 per hour and range from $60.00 for 1/3 day to $140.00 for a full day (7.00am-10.00pm).
